TaoLocal started from a familiar local problem: people have useful items to pass on, but the right buyer is often only a few neighborhoods away. The product is designed around real local context: city, community, pickup preferences, item condition, and seller identity.
We are beginning with Chinese communities in Winnipeg because local commerce works best when people share language, expectations, and neighborhood knowledge. The long-term goal is a marketplace that feels organized, accountable, and easy to use in each city it serves.
